Golf at Royal Dornoch

"It was the most fun I've had playing golf in my whole life" - Open Champion Tom Watson

Under 100 yards from our front door, Royal Dornoch Golf Club is one of Scotland’s oldest courses, and is many players' favourites.

Originally laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1886, it is considered to be one of the world’s finest links courses, and brings together challenging play and spectacular scenery.Royal Dornoch is also home to The Struie. Originally the club’s ladies course, it was extended to 18 holes in the 1990s and is a truly elevated second course. Working with the natural landscape, as well as local plant and wildlife, the layout incorporates many of Dornoch’s unique features which challenge even the most serious golfer, whilst still giving those with higher handicaps the chance to play a highly respected links course.
